The SmartRelay AX Classic is based on a new hardware platform and incorporates the latest security concepts. In addition to active transponders and passive RFID media, it can also be operated via smartphones using Bluetooth® Low Energy and mobile keys stored in AX2Go.

A controller and reader form a single unit. Readers are typically installed in unsecured areas and are available in weatherproof and vandal-resistant versions, with two colour options. An optional add-on allows the SmartRelay AX Classic to be integrated into the wireless WaveNet network.
